Hour of Code Volunteers

The Hour of Code (https://hourofcode.com/) is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Come help girls Grades 1-6 with a one-hour hands-on challenge created by Code.org (https://code.org/). The event runs 6:30-7:30. Volunteers are asked to be available 30 minutes before and after the program.

The event is free, but space is limited to ensure adequate wifi access. Girls register via Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/iowa-tech-chicks-hour-of-code-tickets-19394440293).

December 7-13 is Computer Science Education Week.
