February Program: "Priceless"

Money and Politics! This prizewinning documentary from Habitat Media provides all the talking points we need to continue pressing for campaign finance reform, and the elimination of "Citizens United" through constitutional or congressional means. From the website:

"Is American democracy suffering from a wobble, and can it be fixed? Join us as we follow the money, from big industry campaign coffers to K Street and Capitol Hill, through two major American policies (farm & energy) and right back into the pockets of the same industries we began with! It'll be fun. Along the way we'll meet citizens who've felt the impact of these policies, and those who've decided to do something about it."

You can visit the Habitat Media website at http://www.habitatmedia.org/priceless.html The film is a private showing for our members and friends and was provided by the Coffee Party. There will be a buffet of substantial appetizers and beverages and a minimum donation of $5.00 to $15.00 -- please give according to your pocketbook.

Right now, due to road work, you must enter Riparian View from Campus Drive, rather than from Michelson. There is a sign at the entrance to Riparian, on Campus Drive, just over the bridge on University Drive.

We continue the membership drive of our Democratic club. If you would like to join, please pay your membership dues, which are very modest, at this meeting
