The first of a monthly series of seminars that will expose the Israeli Hi Tech industry to the needs, potential, players, and investors in this booming space of Smart Grid and Energy Efficiency.

This seminar will provide a review of the Smart Energy space, its relevancy to the Hi Tech industry, and the potential in term of markets and investments.

Amos Lasker, Former CEO of IEC, and the Chairman of the ISEA Dr. Yehuda Niv, Commissioner, Electricity Administration at the Ministry of Energy Elad Shaviv, CEO of ISEA Eitan Glazer, Energy & Cleantech practice leader, PwC Itamar Riftin, Business Development, PwC ”The revolution in information technologies that has transformed other high-tech industries (such as desktop computing, enterprise networking, wireless and wireline telecommunications) has yet to transform the electric power business, arguably one of the farthest-reaching and most extensive “networks” in existence. The Smart Grid, in large part, sits at the intersection of energy, IT and telecommunications markets. Based on initial research, roughly 70 percent of executives at Smart Grid startups have backgrounds in wireless communications and/or IT hardware/software. A significant sign that many of the “smarts” in the Smart Grid are transitioning from different industries."
