Mob Programming Session (#2)!

  • This location is shown only to members

In the July 2013 meetup we gave this a spin and the feedback was really great, so it's time to do it again!

We'll be setting up 3 rooms with large TVs, each hosting a different kata.

Developers will split into these rooms and do some pair-programming or mob-programming (pair-programming on steroids) for 45 minutes. Each room will have a moderator who will guide the team with the kata and make sure everyone gets their turn at the keyboard.

Don't forget to bring your laptops!

17:45 - 18:00: Gathering

18:00: Introduction

18:15: Mob-programming Session #1

18:45 - 19:00: Pizza Break

19:00: Mob-programming Session #2

19:45: Wrap-up

    It was fun to exercise TDD with someone I did not know before. For the next time I suggest to give more time for each Kata.

    Thank you all for a fun (and respectful) event.

    To all of you who have worked on the Tennis Kata here is my humble version of it: https://gist.github.com/omerisimo/11381774

    Hope to see you all in the next meetup.

    I'm bringing a friend who only just now did his first "Hello World" program in Ruby, so I think it should be good.

    Hey all;

    I'm interested in coming, but I don't have any coding experience beyond finishing the codecademy course on Ruby...Will this be too far above my head to be a good pair-programmer partner? I suppose I could always drive, but even still it would have to be an Expert-Novice pair...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
