Let's Talk: Managing Repairs, Taxes for Israelis, and Q&A.
Details
Shalom שלום!
The club is back. Some of you have joined us for our Weekly Wednesday Hangouts (btw you can join us from the Google Hangouts app on your smartphone, if you aren't at home!), and I hope the rest of you have been busy doing real estate deals, or earning money at your day job so you can invest in real estate deals!
Our Meetup is growing! We have 72 members. Most people that I have met have lot's of experience and are very friendly. If you haven't joined us yet, this should be your first event!
Lior Herman, CEO of Estateya, used to working in the home improvement industry in the USA. He has a lot of experience giving out bids on home improvements on behalf of contractors. Lior will be teaching us how to estimate repairs from abroad, how to make sure you DON'T get cheated, and how to save money AND time along the way. Estateya is an Israeli up-and-coming startup which brings a new marketplace for real estate investors to find, analyze, and buy real estate across the globe.
Yael Cohen is up next. Yael is a partner at Cohen Benjamin, and spent over a decade as a tax advisor for hundreds of clients. Yael Cohen will be talking about taxes (yuck!). Since we have to pay taxes one way or another, let's make sure that we understand them. There are some common misconceptions that Yael will help us understand, especially as Israelis investing in Israel and Abroad. This talk will be in עברית! Lastly, Ben Bakhshi (myself) will host an open Q&A. Bring your most challenging questions. Bonus points if the question is related to an actionable deal that you need help with.
- You may arrive as early as 7:30pm for NETWORKING, DRINKS, and SNACKS, or to just help setup.
- The event officially starts at 8:00pm and ends at 10:00pm.
- You may stay as late as 10:30pm for more networking, drinks, and snacks, or to just help cleanup.
This event is sponsored by Estateya and Cohen Benjamin, so there will be no fee, thank you to everyone who contributed last event.
