Are there vegetarian options with the dinner on March 28th? Perhaps the gnocchi but without the duck sauce??

Hello Everyone!

We had our first delicious seating of the Italy on your Plate dinner this past Friday. The food, as always, was exceptional and it was really great to re-visit the regions we have experienced over the past 7 months. From the "Egg Balls" of Puglia to the Gnudi from Tuscany and the Beef Cheeks from Piemonte, the menu just continued to get better and better as we progressed through the evening. We are sold out for our next Italy on your Plate seating however we do have lots of other events planned.

Our next region is Le Marche, which is the region located on the central Adriatic slope between Emilia-Romagna to the north, Tuscany and Umbria to the west, and Lazio and Abruzzo to the south, the entire eastern boundary being formed by the Adriatic. As you can see, Le Marche sits in the middle of some of the best known and well loved food & wine regions of Italy! Our two seatings of this Gem of the Adriatic are Le Marche - May 7th and Le Marche - May 28th grab your seat now as you know it will sell out!

In case you need a bit of enticement, here is the working menu from Massimo:



  • Olive Ascolane (stuffed green olives with mixed meats)
  • Crescia di Montefeltro (Bread with pecorino cheese)
  • Scampi al Balsamico e Pompelmo (Shrimps with balsamic and grapefruit salad on arugola)

  • Brodo all'anconetana con Passatelli (Ancona style mixed fish broth with parmigiano small dumplings)
  • Gnocchi con salsa all'anatra (Homemade gnocchi with duck sauce)



  • Porchetta (Marche style roasted stuffed pork with rosemary and herbs)
  • Trota della Nera (Baked Trout with lemon flavoured bread crumbs)
  • Patate gratinate al tartufo (Potato gratin with bechamel and truffle juice)



  • Scroccafussoli(mini Marche style doughnuts)

Okay so now on to other things, we have another il Galli Umbriaci event with Zoltan Szabo and Massimo coming up on May 14th . The menu for this will be similar to our Italy on your Plate, so if yu missed this month's menu, this is a second chance, this time WITH wine! Massimo and Zoltan have their heads together planning the food and wine pairings, so stay tuned!

And finally, Massmo has had so many requests for where he shops, that he has decided invite you to go shopping wit him. For anyone who is interested, these are simply fun trips to Massimo's favourite shopping haunts, observing how he get's his unique and wonderful ingredients.
