Meetups are informal social gatherings where atheists  meetup to chat, socialize, and converse on a variety of topics and get to know one another.

We have a variety of types of events we offer in an effort to build a community and really get to know each other on a personal level. Past events have included attending science, evolution, or atheism related lectures, dining out, BBQ/Picnics, Potlucks, Movie Nights in members' homes, bowling nights, diners, happy hours, after dinner drinks, desserts, and more.

We are not an organization, nor are we affiliated with any organizations. Ithaca Atheists Meetup group site is a place to find out what events are going on of interest to atheists in our area and to make friends with local atheists.  Member input is always welcome and encouraged. Please make liberal use of the Ideas area for suggestions with specific dates and times when possible of an event that you would like to host.

We welcome newcomers. There are no membership fees, nor official meetings. However if anyone decides start an organization or affiliate with a national organization we will inform the meetup community.
