First of all, . . .this is the first time I am doing this thing. So there is a little learning curve with what info I missed

How to find me in the South Courtyard: We will be the only ones there. Even so, . . .You can't miss me. I will be wearing the strangest multiple shades of 70's brown striped cardigan you can imagine. And if that is not bad enough . . . I will be wearing a Meetup Button. Just look for the nerdy one among all the cool people. That'll be me.

YES!!!! You can still buy buy tickets. At some point I have to stop the online system so I can print things. I will be there and you can pay me then. I am leading and organizing this entire thing. You can't miss me. (see note above for expected wardrobe). The day of cost will be $40.00. And no multiples discounts. This way no change needed. (grrrrr math)

IMPORTANT TRAIN INFO: If you are taking the train, . . .

as in the City Metro Train, . . .when you get to Union Station you need to exit the station. There are TWO choices. Alameda exit and Vignes exit. TAKE THE ALAMEDA exit. That will just next to the Starbucks. If you go straight ahead that takes you to the main iconic seating area. The South Courtyard is just to the left. If you walk too far you will come to the INFORMATION booth just before the front Exit. Ask the guy with the conductor hat where the South Courtyard is and he will point where it is about 65 feet away.

IF you accidentally take the Vignes Exit from the Metro, . . . Take the Lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng trains departure tunnel and it will bring you right to where the Alameda one would have.

IF you drove to Union Station and parked in front or across the street at Olvera, . . . the South Courtyard is to the right (or South) of the front entrance.

This is an OUTDOOR and INDOOR Trek that will cross a small part of the city. Along the way you will learn and be exposed to LA Art, Architecture, Culture & History.

You will also have a boatload of fun. Solve clues and you will literally find long hidden treasures in either people, places, objects etc. . . . Complete tasks and solve puzzles. Make new friends. Have an adventure and a story to tell. With photos to prove it!

You will be put together into groups (or come in your own group). Your group will be given a clue to start in a sealed envelope. Clues in sealed envelopes will be given to you along the way. Clues may be photographs, hints, puzzles, clues, movie trivia, specific directions or some combination of these. Teams often have to perform a certain task before receiving their next clue.

This is a great way to connect with friends or meet new ones. You can sign up as a team or an individual. You may come alone. But you will not be for long. After all . . . . . . You wanted to do that, . . . Just not alone!!

FAQs:

Who can attend? All are welcome. This is not an age/ethnic/gender specific event.

What should I wear? Dress comfortable – Wear comfortable shoes. This will cover about 4 miles of walking.

What should I bring? A fun attitude, a smart phone (fully charged). And whatever else you need for a few hours out.

OMG, . . . I get hungry. Is there food or water along the way? There will be ample places to stop and pickup food or drink. Restrooms too.

Some of the locations will involve visits to historical food establisments in the city (ooops a spoiler)

What if it rains? The locations are both indoors AND outdoors. Umbrellas will be fine. Refund given to any who wish to not come due to rain.

Where do I park? This event is starting at Union Station. So it's a no brainer to park at ANY train station near your home and take the Red, Purple, Expo, Gold or Blue line.

Yeah right, . . .This is LA. Where do I park? There is pricey parking at Union Station ($16). There are cheaper flat rates. How many people are attending? This event posted to multiple meetups and other venues so don't go by the RSVPs here. There will be up to 204 members attending.

200 People?How can we all start at the same time? There will be a staggered start time. 10 groups at 9:30am, then 10 more at 9:45 and lastly 10 am. 6 to 7 per team. Each team given 10 different start points, and that route will be unique to that team. This means following other teams will not help. Yes, . . .this has been planned out.
