Co-operate, collaborate & conspire...

Details

IxDA Oslo's first meetup in 2012 is going to be focused on tools for co-operation & collaboration.

Collaborating in the stream
Pete Lacey, Designer at Copenhagen-based startup Podio (http://www.podio.com), will talk about "Collaborating in the stream" - how activity streams are designed to change the way we work and interact together in a collaborative environment.

Podio (http://www.podio.com) was founded in early 2009 and is an online work platform that puts people in control of their work tools rather than the other way around. The platform lets the user decide how to structure projects, teams and workflows by creating and sharing their own spaces.

What you need to know about sharing and collaboration
Fredrik Matheson, Head of the Social Web / Collaboration Group at BEKK Consulting (and IxDA Oslo Ambassador), will explore five barriers to effective collaboration, tell you what he wish he'd known about social software in 2007 and offer practical advice on how you can work smarter starting tomorrow morning.

In 2004 Jørgen Leirdal and Fredrik built a prototype of Geoloq.us, a mobile/social/local tool for easier sharing, coordinating and collaborating in neighborhoods. He's been hooked on making social software ever since. Fredrik has built massive intranets, apps for sharing, connecting and collaborating – and has even tried to make SharePoint social.

Talks will be held in english.

Join us for beers at Oslo Mekaniske after the session to continue the conversation!
