JSChannel London's inaugural meetup!

Details
We're organising the first ever JSChannel meetup in London! We plan on having two talks, followed by snacks, beer and copious mingling with other people who're as interested as you in JavaScript!
Talks
The first talk will be from Ben Gillies (@bengillies (https://twitter.com/bengillies)). Ben's a software developer currently working for Digital Science (http://www.digital-science.com/), an innovative technology company based in London trying to change the way science is done. Currently working with d3 and Ember, he's been making JavaScript heavy client side apps for several years now and has developed a carefully honed aversion to complexity, something he now finds somewhat ironic given his technology choices. He used to work for Osmosoft, the open source arm of BT on an ambitious extensible web platform called TiddlySpace. The talk will be on all things ES6, titled "The evolution of web frameworks: ES6 and beyond". It should last 15-20 minutes, plus questions.
The second talk will be from Joe Pettersson (@Joe8Bit (https://twitter.com/Joe8Bit)). Joe's a long time JavaScript developer, speaker at conferences and soon to be author on the subject. He's currently the Technical Lead of UI Engineering at McKinsey & Company (http://www.mckinsey.com/) (and the meetup organiser!) where he works on modern web and mobile applications for McKinsey's many clients. He's going to be talking about something close to his heart, notifications in async JavaScript: patterns and anti-patterns, as well as a short intro to the mechanics of the event loop and what asynchronicity actually is in JavaScript. It should last 20-30 mins, plus questions.
And all of the slides will be available soon after the meetup.
Venue
The meetup will be held at our sponsors venue, a fantastic conference centre at the London headquarters of McKinsey & Company. We have capacity for 70+ people, so come one come all!
Times
We'll kick off at 6:30, the talks should be finished just after 7:00 and we'll finish off around 8:00, before inevitably adjourning to one of the many pubs in the local area!
After at the meetup
Afterwards we'll be heading to the Comedy Pub (http://www.piccadillycomedy.co.uk/), just around the corner from the meetup location (< 5 minutes walk). The address is 7 Oxendon St Piccadilly, London SW1Y 4EE. Maps link (http://goo.gl/maps/KUCpa).
