Get ready for a night of pure Japanese immersion and pure fun!
We watch Japanese animé and Japanese sitcoms and they are all with Japanese audio. There will be subtitles but they will also be in Japanese. The problem with English subtitles is that they just improve your English reading abilities, rather than strengthen your Japanese. With the Japanese subtitles, you would be stunned at how much you can understand and it really takes your Japanese language ability (both reading and listening) to the next level. And, we will be able to converse with each other in Japanese as well.
The food and drink will be the only things that are not Japanese. Let's kick it! 
P.S. No English! If you need to say something in English, write it down on a pad. This sounds silly but at virtually every other Japanese language Meetup that I have attended, it has devolved into English within 20 minutes because there were not strict rules about prohibiting English speech. This is strict but you will naturally slip into a Japanese groove and your thought processes will become more and more Japanese as the night goes on.

LouisEvent HostOrganizer+1 guestI had a fantastic time at the Event! This is really a great group of people and I am blessed that they joined Japanese Language 24/7. The energy at the Event was awesome and people dived in and spoke Japanese freely, no matter what their level! So everybody got a little bit better at Japanese last night and learned more about the culture as well. I was definitely enlightened :) The mix of native and non-native speakers made it more fun than just having 1 or the other. -
