Thursday's Meetup @ Saba in First Hill/upper International District

From: Jason T.
Sent on: Tuesday, December 18, 2012, 10:23 PM

I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:
http://www.meetup.com/JapaneseSeattle/events/93774832/

When: Thursday, December 20,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Saba Ethiopian Cuisine
[masked]th Ave Neighborhood: First Hill
Seattle, WA 98122
(206)[masked]

Saba has one of my favorite Ethiopian dishes, shiro wot, which is made from powdered beans and a spiced butter. This alone is reason enough to go to Saba, but they also have a very nice green chicken dish, a bunch of lovely vegetable and bean dishes, and some lamb stews and other good stuff.

We'll order a ton of food to share. Usually the food runs $15-18/person, but expect a bit more just in case prices have changed since the last time I came. We'll handle drinks separately.

This particular restaurant has a full bar, a place for Kojiro to run around when he's trying to escape the dining table.

Easy bus routes include 9, 27 and 60, or a moderate walk from route 7. Parking is usually easy enough on street; consider parking a bit North of here if you want to walk to the probable nijikai spots.

Nijikai may be at the Irish bar up the street, the Garage if people feel like bowling, or down toward the international district, depending on the whims that move the over-21 segment of our group that night.

This Meetup repeats every week on Thursday.

If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Yes".)

You can always get in touch with me through my group profile on Meetup.
