Thursday's meetup at Buckley's

From: Jason T.

I've updated this Meetup. For more details, see the full listing:

When: Thursday, January 3,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Buckley's on Queene Anne
232 1st Avenue West
Seattle, WA 98119

Sorry for the delay in getting an announcement out for this week; I've been a little distracted with the end of the year...

This week, we're at a kid-friendly pub in lower Queen Anne. Buckley's is an old school joint, and the food is probably rather basic American stuff, but it'll do the trick. You can get a burger or fish & chips, a fresh veggie sandwich, mac & cheese, or some grilled salmon. Prices are super reasonable.

Please bring lots of cash so we don't have to deal with dozens of credit cards. There's a slight chance Hiromi and I will bail out if she goes into labor, so a volunteer to stand in for me as the bill collector would be great.

Bus access is easy with most Queen Anne bound bus routes (2, 3, 13, if I remember correctly). Parking is not always easy, but should be manageable since Queen Anne is no longer a major sporting event destination. When I hunt for street parking on lower Queen Anne, 80% of the time I end up right next to Buckley's anyway, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Nijikai may be at Tini Bigs if people want to play with firewater.

Remember to keep your RSVP up-to-date. Showing up without RSVPing or being a no show creates a lot of hassle for the organizer and the restaurant staff.

This Meetup repeats every week on Thursday.

If the changes affect your plans to attend, please take a moment to update your RSVP. (You can RSVP "No" or "Yes".)

You can always get in touch with me through my group profile on Meetup.
