We are very excited to have Elad Bezalel from the Angular Material core team, and Neil Osman who is THE accessibility guru.

In this event we'll have a complete overview on Material design, the importance of accessibility, which you get automagically with Angular Material, and speaking of, we'll have a great inside look into this exciting project by an actual Angular core team.

This is a joint event with GDG Rashlatz.

Introduction to Material Design - (Elad Bezalel)

Material Design is a design language developed by Google, makes more liberal use of grid-based layouts, responsive animations and transitions, padding, and depth effects such as lighting and shadows.

Elad Bezalel, A fullstack developer with a very storng love for design. Since 8 years old, he's been designing in Photoshop and later on fell in love with programing. This strong bond between design and computer programming gave birth to a new kind of love. And he is currently doing the combination of both, as a core member of the ngMaterial project.

JavaScript Accessibility - (Neil Osman)

As of late October all new content and applications are subject to the new Israeli Accessibility regulations which adopted W3C WCAG 2.0 recommendation as it’s basis. In this talk i'll try to transform common comprehensions of web accessibility. We'll address the following fundamentals - knowing your users is key for success

• DOM Tree and the Accessibility Tree

• SPA Accessibility: focus management

• ARIA: The accessibility tool for composite widgets

• Tests and automations"

Neil Osman, Practices front end development more then 10yrs, Being visually impaired accessibility and asisstive technology is an integral part in his life. In 2006 he founded WW3, doing accessibility audits, training and consulting.

Angular Material - (Elad Bezalel)

Angular Material is both a UI Component framework and a reference implementation of Google's Material Design Specification. This project provides a set of reusable, well-tested, and accessible UI components based on Material Design.
