Great meetup, thanks for hosting @ de Voorhoede and thanks to the speakers. I did not mind the length of the talks, great content as well, especially Conditioner. What would be great is if they can have a bit more of a MVC focus. Just wanted to check: Is there a lack of topics in this area, or was the intention to also go a bit outside of pure MVC with some of the talks?

Thanks again to Jasper and de Voorhoede for hosting us and to our speakers Rik & Denis for a couple of great talks.

Good meetup! Talks went on a little too long though. Should have taken it offline a bit sooner.

    June 26, 2014

    • Johan O.

Yeah, sorry. that is what i meant, the talks were the right length, the questions afterward took too long.

      June 26, 2014

    • Ben K.

@Johan: Thanks for the feedback. It's always hard to get the balance right for this. On one hand, I want to keep things short for those who aren't participating in the discussion but on the other hand I don't want to shutdown a productive discussion. One of the things I actually like about the meetup is the discussion - it's something I can't get browsing github READMEs and reading documentation. But I do see your point and I'll chat with Niels to see if it makes sense to go back to the strict talking timing we had when we started the meetup.

Thanks Ben & Niels for setting up the meetup & Voorhoede for the space. The presentations were great and Q/A sessions were equally useful. Can't wait for the next one.

Hi, just to check: Is there food? =)

I'm now 2nd on the waiting list ... if anyone can't make this meetup tomorrow, please can you update your status? Thanks Dave.

    June 24, 2014

    • Niels D.

Hi Dave, it's very likely that some people will change their RSVP status tomorrow just before the Meetup.

      June 24, 2014

    • Prashant P.

Hi Dave, if you really want to go, you can take my spot. I was not planning to cancel, but this meetup is not uber-interesting to me. So I don't mind giving up my spot to someone more interested.

aye, methinks rsvp is more like a 'guidline'

    1 · June 24, 2014

  • Drazen

How many of us are on waitlist?

    June 16, 2014

    • Ben K.

I've just increased the RSVP limit to 60 but there are still 12 people on the waiting list. There's usually a few people who cancel their RSVP a day or two before the event so if you're not signed up now, it still could happen.

      June 16, 2014

    • Gert H.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a dozen people change their RSVP to not going on the day of the meetup.

well well, this is the same day as GoogleIO Extended, is this on purpose? -.-a https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/google-io-extended-2014-amsterdam-tickets-11679318155

The topic about web component's does sounds interesting, too bad that I can't join your meetup this time. I will wait for the speaker's notes then.. :)

      May 27, 2014

    • Niels D.

we'll ask the speakers to put the slides online afterwards!

      May 27, 2014

  • Joost H.

    Argh, full again!

    May 26, 2014

    • Ben K.

Sorry, it was a mistake on my part. Thanks for letting me know. I'll enable the waitlist.
