ReactJS: Bespoke application development - Fluent Money

Description:

This talk will look into an application built by Fluent Money. Garry Taylor will give us an insight into the multi-million pound application used by companies such as MoneySupermarket, USwitch and Lovemoney.com. We will cover why Fluent Money chose ReactJS for the development of this application and discuss the advantages/disadvantages to utilising the long list of libraries offered with ReactJS. We’ll look specifically into ‘stack development’ and discuss if it increases or decreases the complexity of this application.

Speaker – Garry Taylor - Group Head of IT

Garry is the ‘Group Head of IT’ at Fluent Money based in Bolton, he helps teams to design and build highly innovative, resilient, full-stack platforms at scale. He has spent the majority of his career working within the IT departments of the financial sector, but has previously spent time as a lecturer of computer science at both Salford and Southport University. Garry has technical expertise in many languages but specialises in Javascript, C# and PHP development. He was also one of the very first developers to be 'Zend' certified.
