Both talks were great. I thought John's talk was one of the most succinct yet effective and still somewhat in-depth (showing filters, etc.) that I've EVER seen for AngularJS intros.

I was on the live feed last night, and could not hear the names of the companies that were hiring. Which firms were they? I'm especially interested in the one that sells audio and video solutions.

Thanks for the live feed. I couldn't make it but this was almost as good as being there!

Thank you for the live feed, Kevin. It made last night much easier.

Hey just wanted to ask again if anyone is interested in participating in a chat about how they accomplish their front-end layout tasks, we're super interested it talking to you. It usually takes about 40 minutes. Hit me up at sewalker at adobe dot com. Thanks again!

We're looking talk to front-end devs as well as web designers about their workflow, problems and interests that we can put into tools for the future. So things like how hard is it to create web layout that matches designs? Ability to show clients and devs how designs should look on different screens? How often do you recreate designs for the web (doing work twice)? How hard is it to implement designs to exacting standards? How hard is it to reuse existing elements across designs or projects?

I'm happy to have a chat offline too, but a big part of that starts with having a ubiquitous language amongst your team. If the designers understand a 16-column grid system, and we've defined base componentry (e.g. accordion, callout, widgetX), the front-end flow becomes a lot more integrated. I'm currently working on integrated tooling & workflow automation from style guide -> wireframe -> dev project scaffolding to solve many of these things myself.

Thanks very much for making the live feed happen last night! It was a perfect option on such a snow filled day!

Yes! Please record it! I was looking forward to this but became putridly sick this week and now I'm behind on everything, so I need to abandon meetup, unfortunately. But please record it for us sorry folk who must abstain!!

    January 30, 2014

  • Vince

Is this going to be recorded? I'd love to see it but I'm doubting I can make it now.

    January 29, 2014

    • Kevin W.

I think so - we're going to be using Hangouts to connect the two rooms, so we should have it recorded for posterity.

Was excited to see the angular.js demo, but Apruve is presenting at the Beta.MN event tomorrow so I can't attend. But thanks to Kevin/Twillio for sponsoring Beta.MN!

    January 29, 2014

    • Karl B.

Same here - wish I could attend this, but someone signed me up for Beta.MN so I should use that ticket...

Bummed to miss this one - I'm secretly in love with all things Meteor. I've got a release Friday - on a timeline that was wildly unrealistic. I'm sure that never happens anywhere else...

Would love to be able to make it but my very first baby is due at the end of the month and its doubtful I'll be able to make it!

I don't know, Will, this seems like a lackluster excuse. ;)
