Due to the lack of ASL meetup groups in NJ, I've decided to create a meetup group for those of us who cannot travel to NYC or Philadelphia to attend meetups.

The focus of this group is to bring together those interested in practicing ASL, as well as to discuss Deaf culture and current events.

You should join this group and attend our Meetups if:
-You are an ASL student.
-Generally interested in learning the language. (non-student)
-Are curious about Deaf culture.
-Looking to brush up on or develop better conversational skills.
-Trying to become more comfortable signing within groups.

***This group is open to all Deaf and hearing individuals with any knowledge level of ASL.

Want to attend?

I am hoping people in the Jersey Shore area will show interest in attending the ASL practice meetup group. If so, I will schedule weekly meetups every Thursday night at 7pm. I am going to contact a few places to find a sufficient location for this group to meet and practice ASL. There will be a $2 fee per meetup to cover the costs of this website. I hope to get meetups started as early as next week. So come on everyone- Let's get started!
