Increasingly Global Corporations are becoming more active in investing in Israeli technologies and start-ups. Many major global corporations have their own venture capital funds or business development centers based in Israel.

JBNF will be inviting representatives from 3 global corporations, IBM, Microsoft and Intel to present their business policies and strategies for the Israeli market. They have been requested to present their “wish list” in terms of technologies and start-ups, as well as how potential candidates can explore their interest.

Mr. Michael Oran GTU Manager, IBM Israel

Michael Oran is leading the GTU - Global Technology Unit. The GTU is a corporate initiative, established in Israel late in 2001, following a comprehensive study conducted in Israel by a corporate delegation. The GTU is leading IBM's collaboration with the Israeli High tech industry. The GTU main goal is to identify and promote new business opportunities for IBM, world wide, along with solutions developed by Israeli based ISVs. The GTU identifies and recruit potential business partners with innovative solutions that offer added value for common customers, in conjunction with IBM products or services.

Prior to his current position, Michael managed the IBM Israel STG (System and Technology Group) for 7 years following years of various managerial and sales positions. Michael holds a BSc in Computer Sciences and Master in Business Administration.

Mr. Shai Tsur Business Development Manager, Microsoft Israel R&D Center

Prior to joining Microsoft, Shai spent more than five years at Giza Venture Capital where he specialized in investments in Internet, media, and software companies. In addition, he was one of the first Israeli bloggers and is very active in social media.

Mr. Hillel Basch

Hillel has spent most of his life in the Financial community. Prior to starting an independent financial consulting firm – Smart Options, Hillel was affiliated with several big name banks, brokerage and financial firms including Bank Leumi Ltd. and Global derivatives Ltd. He holds a double Bachelor degree in both Economics and Business Administration (extended) with a minor in Computer Science, and two separate Master degrees in both Business Administration – Finance (MBA) andBusiness Law (LLM). Hillel still continues his education today, striving for a PhD in finance. In addition, Hillel is a renowned speaker lecturing in many universities, colleges, corporations and managerial forums.
