Details
What is the value that we as testers provide? What should we be providing? How do we show that value? Do we need to elevate the understanding?
Some tweets and blogs to consider -
@imccowatt: The value of #testing is in the information it provides.
@imccowatt: #Testing that does not discover and provide timely, relevant and consumable information about quality has no value.
@imccowatt: Testers who do not understand the value of testing are more likely to pursue incongruent goals, rely on justifying themselves with metrics
@imccowatt: @fionaccharles Testers who are rewarded for hitting TC/day goals, writing content-free "strategies", checking boxes w/o understanding
@imccowatt: @fionaccharles Testers who are criticized for asking questions, for talking to developers, for attempting to interact outside of formal fora
This blog about a lone tester and a testers guide to her developers (http://visible-quality.blogspot.fi/2015/02/a-lone-testers-guide-to-her-developers.html?m=1)
In this meetup we will discuss the above and will run the discussion lean coffee (http://leancoffee.org/) style.
Look forward to seeing you there!!
