Publishing from a Staging Site to a Live Joomla Site

EasyStaging is a Joomla! 2.5.4+ component that simplifies the process of copying changes from a private "staging" version of a website to a "live" or public webserver.
EasyStaging is unique in that it allows "Plans" to be created that can push out specific directories and tables to the "live" webserver at any time — while also taking advantage of Joomla! ACL system to restrict access to any aspect of the component. For example it's possible to create a Plan that can only be run by one specific person or members of a particular user group, while at the same time preventing those users from editing the plan in anyway.
The new version is about to be released which includes a complete re-write of the underlying sync engine to allow for much faster plan runs, handling tables with complex indexes and inter-table dependencies, and for pulling tables back from the live website. The new version also integrates the EasyStaging Authentication Over-ride plug-in and introduces Content Update Notifications .
Craig will be giving a run through of EasyStaging and a preview of the new sync engine and features.
