An Evening of Sound Meditation

An Evening of Retuning -- Through a range of sounds we will attune your energy as well as clear and relax your mind.

Sounds move through our bodies and have a tremendous impact on our energy and our outlook.

Through a combination of Bells, Chakra Bowls, and Paiste Gong, Elizabeth Vesto and the Reverend Hilary Krivchenia will offer an evening of sound meditation.  We will create the conditions for greater balance with crystal bowls and leave you relaxed and refreshed with a gong bath.

Please bring a mat and/or blanket if you would like to stretch out, or you can sit in chairs for support.  We want you to be comfortable.  A blanket to cover up with is recommended in case you get cool when you relax.  Wear clothing in which you feel relaxed and comfortable.

Donations will be accepted but not required.

This is not a drum circle and we will not be drumming.

This event is sponsored by Countyside Unitarian Universalist Church and offered as information only.

Amazing, wonderful, divine! Both Rev. Hilary's crystal bowls and Elizabeth's gong were gifts for my soul.

This was my first sound meditation so I didin't know what to expect. Very cool as the sounds swept me here and there. We'll see about the healing part - I've been gimping around with a sore ankle - but the vibes definitely relaxed and calmed me. Thank you so much - and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Thanks to all who attended! What a wonderful meditation, when Rev. Hilary played the bowls, I felt the most incredible sensation as the vibrations penetrated my broken foot. Incredibly healing to both body and spirit.

I'm looking forward to exploring the power and influence of the sounds. And Countryside UU is such a great place for an event!

Rev. Hilary's words from this Sunday:
"Sound is something that is universal, shared. When I ring this bell, you each hear it individually, but it is one sound. One sound wave that moves from this place to your ears. As you listen together, you recognize on some level that you are sharing the experience of listening. Of receiving that sound. Even if you can’t hear or only hear slightly, the same vibration moves to and through all of our bodies. We hear not only with our ears but with our whole selves, as in fact we do everything with our whole selves. Sound moves beyond conscious thought into us. It is preverbal, yet we understand it, not as idea but as experience. We begin to hear with our bodies in the womb and our bodies are tuning forks for vibration."

Hope you do these on a Friday or Sat. night. I work other days and would love to attend.

I'll suggest this to Rev. Hilary, she is often busy those days because of sermon preparation.
