Journocoders workshop: Bootstrap

For July's meetup we'll be looking at Bootstrap, an open source CSS framework. Originally developed at Twitter, Bootstrap makes it easy to throw together a good-looking and fully responsive (if slightly generic) web page in minutes.

We'll be following Erika Biga Lee's tutorial. Although no programming experience is required, we highly recommend taking the Codecademy HTML & CSS course beforehand.

Important information:
• Collaborative hackpad is here.
• Please add your full name to Meetup.com for our guest list.
• Make sure to bring a laptop.
• There will be no food so grab a bite to eat beforehand.
• Since we have no sponsor this month, it's BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer).

Agenda: The session will run from 7.30pm to 9pm.
7.30: Show and Tell
7.45: Work through tutorial
8.45: Debrief
9.00: The pub!

Venue: We will be at Newspeak House on Bethnal Green Road. Nearest tube is Shoreditch High Street or Liverpool Street.

It looks like there might be a tube strike on Thursday (https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/tube/tube-strike). If it happens, would people prefer to reschedule this meetup for next week or go ahead as planned?

  I would still be able to make it tomorrow, and might struggle to make it next Thursday, but also think we should reschedule if others can't make it. So I'm indifferent with a slight preference for this week but think we should go with the majority opinion. Just trying to make the decision easier for the organisers, y'know.
