Data processing with R
Details
This month, we'll be learning about a language near and dear to the hearts of many a data journalist: R (https://www.r-project.org). Using a program called Swirl (http://swirlstats.com), we will be following an interactive tutorial written in R itself. How recursive.
Make sure to bring a laptop along, as in now-typical Journocoders style this will be a practical, hands-on workshop. No programming experience is required, but please install the required software (http://swirlstats.com/students.html) (steps 1 and 2) beforehand.
Oh, and make sure to join the collaborative hackpad (https://journocoders.hackpad.com/Journocoders-June-2016-CU9AgRDUCcf) for the event!
Schedule:
7.00: Doors open
7.30: Show & tell
