Since about 2005, but I'm not sure exactly when. (My first distro was Warty Warthog, but I think it was shortly before Dapper Drake came out -- it was the disk a friend had available, and what did I know? But I'm not sure exactly).
The sense of community and camaraderie that exists within it, along with the ease of getting support (because someone is bound to have had the same problem at some point, whatever it is). It also seems to be generally filled with open-minded, intelligent, largely decent people.
How small it is, I guess :P And that I'm quite removed from it in physical terms. Also the bickering and infighting that goes on. I'm not much one for flamewars.
I'm a software developer who hasn't used Linux for a while now, but very much looking to get back into it seriously, especially in a professional capacity.
