BIOS:
Osman is originally from Sudan and moved to Turkey when he was nineteen years old. It was there that he decided to share his passion for music and started DJ'ing, with a vision to introduce African and Rastafarian sounds, rhythms and culture to Turkey. Osman organized parties that drew big crowds who were delighted to hear such a different and exotic sound.
Those parties evolved in opening a cultural club where Osman continued to DJ and further contributed to the music culture in Istanbul for almost 20 years. Now in Vancouver, he is thrilled to have found Just Dance where he will continue to share his love and passion for World Music.
Raghunath has been an intrinsic part of the evolving dance culture for the past 20 years. An innovative producer and dj, he is interested in the transformational properties of music and movement, connections and community. He has released three solo albums under various guises, and has contributed musically to many festivals and events including Believe, Burning Man, Earthdance, and Entheos.
A yogi and teacher, he has practiced and studied in both Canada and India, organizes kirtan events and festivals, and facilitates workshops on mantra and sacred sound. A long-time radio presence, he is currently the host and producer of Mantra Radio onCiTR 101.9fm in Vancouver.
