Fwd: [skeptics-137] Do you have some spare memory :o) - well, PC desktop memory or an old PC Desktop XP+ laying around?
Hey, peeps, do any of you by any chance have a Windows desktop machine laying around you are not using that would have this type of RAM memory stick(s) in it - a stick of 512MB or 1Gig+ by any chance? It may have crashed and you did not repair it or have not using it? RAM memory most likely is intact.
I'll be glad to dispose of your PC machine for you if you have one with this type of RAM memory, as I have some old PCs in m basement and I was going to take them to a computer recycling place anyway. Most likely it needs to be XP, Not sure if Vista or Windows 7 desktop would have this type of memory.
I've come into a possession of a very well taken care of XP machine that has 512 MB on two sticks and after I updated Windows with recent updates, it's a bit sluggish. I am trying to see if I can get away with little as I can buying for it and have it as an extra machine to play Netflix movies streaming on our TV to make my wife happy. This Dell machine is really nifty, it's flat and fits right under the TV in a slot. Right now she's using one of my laptops and I want it back :o)
Here is the link to what the memory stick should look as - http://compare
Pay no attention to the metal casing of this particular memory - what's important is the two grooves in the middle at the bottom of the stick - these grooves are in the middle of the stick - this is the kind I need for this Dell Precision 340.
