Cole,
Mark Wesley Cline, a 55 year old Lawrence atheist person died yesterday or today in his sleep from a brain seizure. He was a kind of 'techie' atheist, lanky, with scraggly hair, with soft spoken, shy and awkward social skills. I don't have a picture and can't find his obit yet..
Some may have encountered him from Lawrence or KC events. I had no idea if anyone there would have run into him but I thought I'd let you know.

I'd like to post another update for my friend:

This is from Kay Huddleston.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you, my friends for all the help and support you offered my friend. She started a new job on April 8th and is very excited about the possibilities. It is a temp. job with the possibility of permanent employment.  She is still hoping to get something more permanent so here are her qualifications: She is a Medical Assistant and has worked the financial side in billing and collections. She lost her last healthcare job in 2009 and took a position with  Kraft, but the hours gradually decreased to nothing. Until recently, she had not had a single call back from any prospective employers. She will finish her coursework in clinical medical assisting in the next few months, and obtained her phlebotomy certification in February.

My friend has been unemployed for over a year, her unemployment benefits ended in November and it has finally reached the point that her landlord filed an eviction that happens on April 23.  She is still at her apartment in Louisburg, with most of her belongings in storage and this weekend will be moving the final items. She was offered boarding for her dog Chloe, for a few weeks but time will run out on that offer, soon. She needs either a temporary place to stay that will allow for her dog or a long term situation that can include her dog and her son, when he is not in school at UMKC.  She will have all her household items in storage so her needs are minimal at present but her son gets out of school, for the summer, on May 17th.  She needs housing that will be closer to job opportunities, and close enough for him to commute to school with minimal cost. She would like to keep the dog with her In the short term and needs a place to stay until she can save the money for something more permanent.

If you have any ideas or offers, please let me know  (Kay Huddleston [masked])
