Hello, Code Lab!

In this hands-on event, we will:

Establish the requisite skills for participation in future Code Lab events Try and refine a basic format for hands-on-style Code Lab events Gain experience in working co-operatively on group projects Propose candidate group projects and select one for development
Prerequisites, before attending:

Complete the Hello, World Android development tutorial Review the Notepad tutorial, attempting or completing a solution List any Code Lab project ideas in this event's comments RSVP for the event, noting "Maybe", as applicable Monitor for event changes, in case we overflow the venue!
Bring:

Your laptop with the Android SDK (http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html) and tutorial solutions Any Android target devices you have Any cabling to connect the foregoing
Event agenda:

Briefly review the Hello, World solution, to fill any conceptual gaps Divide and develop the Notepad tutorial, as a trial group effort Propose, review and select the top group project ideas
Norm will provide:

Power outlets Bench space and chairs Wi-fi and RJ-45 Internet access One or two target Android devices A computer and large display for reviewing our solutions
