Android disruption

Android is currently disrupting multiple industries, including computing, telecommunications, and media. Clayton Christensen's model of technical innovation describes how to "skate to where the money will be" under such massive change. We briefly review Christensen's model, then apply it to Android development, looking for the best opportunities for growth and profit. Lots of discussion.

Replacing the built-in PhoneApp

My biggest complaint with Android is that it is a crappy phone! Many other users share this complaint. However, the telephony service API provides very limited control to application developers. I'd like to brainstorm on the options for replacing or extending the built-in PhoneApp for controlling both outbound and inbound calls.

Group and event organization

How are these events working for you? Can we improve the format to better suit your needs? For example, should we reintroduce the Code Lab events, possibly alternating with Presentation-style events each month.
