What’s the impact of your lettuce? How far did it travel to your plate? What are the new economics of food and how soon do we have to care?

All this and more will be discussed after our potluck. Special guest speakers to lead discussion, including Cynthia Brennan, founder of TABLE Local Market, Heather Flournoy, founder of the KatonahGreen Network and Stephen Filler, legal counsel for Joule Assets.

Bring a dish to share, your latest green news and a smile.

We'll use the Slow Food principles of good, clean, fair food for this event, as well as make it a zero waste meal. That means:

do your best to use food that is clean and local (organic, local, or sustainably grown, whether certified or not). bring your own reusable cutlery, plates, cups, bowls, and serving ware; cloth napkins. NO DISPOSABLES PLEASE Know where your food comes from! (and let others know too. table cards with ingredients listed and food sources are helpful) It's inspiring when people share what they'll be bringing, or post here to ask for ideas.

$5 suggested donation per adult.
