What we’re about
This is a photography group in the Katy area. The group will meet at least once a month at various locations across Katy to either chat about photography or to go take some pictures.
We generally have three types of meetups:
The first are the "Photowalks", which are a fun chance for us to take our cameras somewhere interesting, hang out with each other socially, and try to capture those great shots we're always hoping for.
Second we have our "Speaker Series", which is a chance for us to gather 'round and learn from someone who is an expert in their field of photography. We've had a variety of speakers covering areas including technical talks about the mechanics of our cameras, the creativity of "seeing the light", good photo composition, and lighting demonstrations among others.
Third we have our "Pay it Forward" meetups. These are educational and hopefully fun get-togethers during which our more "advanced" photographers in the group happily help the newer or less experienced members with any help they need to get a better understanding of their gear and techniques.
