This is an opportunity to take photos of the new Magic! exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS) though an upcoming HMNS flickr meetup this coming April.

Date: Sunday April 11, 2010
Time: 6:00pm ? 8:00 pm
Venue: Houston Museum of Natural Science
One Hermann Circle Drive
Houston, TX 77030

Here?s some info from the flickr discussion:

"...During these hours you?ll have access to photograph the Magic! exhibit ? as well as one of our magicians, Richard Hatch, who will be in the exhibit performing close-up magic during the event.

Magic! contains an array of historical curiosities and mysterious objects from famed magicians like Houdini, Blackstone and Herrmann; an all-new, spectacular life-size illusion to experience; and of course, live magic performances (which really bring the artifacts to life). You can see a few of them on the HMNS Photostream.

You must have an active Flickr account to participate, and registration is required for this event. To register, please e-mail [address removed] with your name and a link to your Flickr account. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me or post a comment here. Registration must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 9."

This is a great opportunity! Last flickr meetup through the HMNS was a success. Photographers were given a time slot outside of normal business hours to photograph the Faberge and Head Hunters exhibit. The HMNS made a flickr Faberge gallery of some of the photos from the past meetup that can be seen via this link:

**Note: Registration requires a flickr account, but you don't have one, a standard account is FREE, so why not join? Details on registration can be found on the HMNS flickr group discussion board. Also, if you have questions, they can be directed to the contact on the HMNS flickr group discussion board.
