We recognize the importance of maintaining the FREE nature of the KPMG. However, this format imposes certain restrictions on what we can do, particularly when it comes to events that require funding such as: Competitions (ribbons, venue, prizes.) Hiring speakers and judges Booths at local art events. Access to gallery space. We would like to gauge support in the group for having a new level of participation that would require a yearly membership fee of $40 to fund these kinds of events. Meetup-only (non-paying) members would still be welcome to see speakers and participate in other traditionally free events (Photowalks, Foto Follies, etc.). Nothing would change for them. They would have access to competitions and portfolio reviews but would have to pay a higher entry fee than dues-paying members where the dues would subsidize the costs. Would you be interested in paying an annual membership fee to enable the creation of such events?
