6A in YarmouthPort is lined with lovely historic homes. We'll walk from the Bank of America down Gingerbread Lane to Thacher Shore Drive that runs west along the water (Barnstable Harbor). We'll turn into Water Street to where the port used to be..for expansive water views. We'll cross the bridge next to Hallets Mill Pond and go as far as you or your dogs decide to go, ending up no farther than Keveney Lane at 6A. The loop could be completed by walking east on 6A back to our cars, but the sidewalk is very narrow and extremely close to the fast moving traffic on 6A. I will not walk my dog there, so I will head back the way we came, making the round trip of 2.7 miles. If anyone wants to walk back via 6A, that is an option and is a shorter total distance.

Bank of America shares a parking lot with another bank, Cape Cod Cooperative Bank and is at the intersection of 6A and Gingerbread Lane, just 0.2 mile east of Willow Street on 6A. Willow Street is exit 7 off the Mid Cape, Rt 6.

Go to the LEFT of Bank of America, to the parking lot at the back of the bank. Guests are always welcome on walks (never on paddles).

This is on Memorial Day Weekend.
