Kenneth Young Center is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit, provider of comprehensive mental health and senior citizens' support services based in Elk Grove Village, IL. Our mission is to help people feel good, do better and find solutions by providing counseling, assessment, treatment, and resource coordination. We are inviting those with an affinity for making a difference in their community to “Meetup” with Kenneth Young Center Group to make a difference, have fun, meet new people and network. We invite community members to volunteer for one of our many opportunities and to join us at our events. Events include:
• Our annual Fashion Show Luncheon (November 5, 2011)
• A HouseWalk in Elk Grove Village (September 17, 2011)
• Our annual family-friendly Walk for the Mental Health of It (May 2012) • Our annual Golf Outing (August 2012)
• As well as other smaller events
There are countless opportunities for you to volunteer and get involved:
• Meals-on-Wheels drivers
• Shoppers for the elderly
• Friendship volunteers for the elderly and those with mental illness
• Mentors to teens and children in need
• Cashiers and assistants to help at our Resale Shop in Schaumburg, IL
• Money Management volunteers
• Administrative, event and committee volunteers
• And so much more
Kenneth Young Center’s service area extends throughout the Northwest Suburbs with heavy concentration in the Elk Grove and Schaumburg Townships.
