Welcome to the Kennydale Neighborhood Parents Group!

We are starting this group for parents who like to get together to share stories, hang out, and just have a good time with our kids! There will be activities for both parents who stay at home and working parents -- our goal is to provide a good mix of everything.

During the warm months we can explore parks and have outdoor adventures. During the winter, we can play in local community centers and other indoor play areas, and have small group play dates in members’ homes. Let’s pack our calendar with a wide variety of activities, new things, learning and opportunities to meet each other!

As this group grows and evolves, we will continue to value play and the learning that follows, and hope to build a sense of community for families in the Kennydale Neighborhood. We hope that you can join us and make great friendships for both you and your child(ren). See you soon!

How to Join

If this sounds like a good fit for you, then click on the 'Join Us' button up top. Then you'll fill out your profile, upload a photo of yourself, and then an Organizer will get back to you promptly.

Organizing

If you would like to "Host" an event this is highly encouraged by the leadership group.  The calendar is open so anyone who wants to do this just needs to follow a few guidelines:

• Come up with idea, location & information other members will need to know
• Create an event on the calendar and make sure it includes information on what the activity is, the timing, location, cost and any other pertinent information 
• Make the commitment to go and greet and welcome attendees - You are the Host.

RSVP

Keep RSVP's up-to-date. Respect your volunteer organizers and if you say you will attend you need to be there.  If you RSVP to attend and then realize you can not make it change your RSVP IMMEDIATELY.  There is nothing like spending half an event looking for people who never intended to come.
