JavaScript Demos and Discussions

This month we're meeting the evening of Thursday Jan 29. As usual, we’re at the Lexington Central Library Room B 4th floor at 7PM (http://www.lexpublib.org/location/central-library).

Get ready scripting fans — its gonna be pretty awesome. Please invite anyone who you think would get something out of this meet up. This month we have a special guest, Matt Phillips, from DoneJS coming to visit us and tell us all about building some js appy awesomeness.

Learn how to build the fastest single page applications with DoneJS (http://donejs.com­). This talk details some most important performance techniques used in single page applications like: server side rendering, progressively loading optimized bundles, and use of content delivery networks. We will discover how DoneJS solves these problems while building a simple real-time chat application. As a bonus, Matt will show how to build the web application into a mobile and desktop application -- very cool.
