Healing Ourselves Through Martial Arts

Martial Arts has long been known as a means of bringing mind, body, and spirit together in a balanced union. As a result, training in the martial arts gives us one way to heal ourselves in a complete and balanced way.

Whatever issues one may be dealing with, I have found that martial arts training can be of great benefit in lessening and even healing the impact of those issues on our bodies, spirits, and minds.

Through training in the martial arts we will experience a dynamic meditation & the development of our "ki", an increase in mental awareness, and the development of our physical self.  Other benefits you can gain in our classes are increased self-discipline, better physical conditioning, a greater sense of self-confidence, effective stress relief, and practical self-defense. Plus, we just plain have fun!

Come join us! You don't have to be in any kind of physical shape or have any particular flexibility to start. Please wear comfortable clothing such as sweats and a t-shirt.

We will be using boxing gloves, so bring them if you have them.  If not, we do have a couple of pairs of bag gloves to loan to students during class.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend, as space is limited (You do not need to RSVP if you are not planning to attend.)

** Our instructor, Sensei Sandra Essary, is a 3rd degree black belt and certified martial arts instructor with over 15 years experience. She has also taught meditation and has studied the healing arts since 1986. **
