If there's one thing that gets Knight Lab people wound up, it's talking some journalism and technology shop. We like it so much in fact that we're hosting a weekly brown bag lunch to do just that.
The lunches are an informal and fun way to learn more and share what you know about technology and journalism. Members of the Knight Lab community will facilitate the discussion, but everyone should show up ready to share something they're excited about, whether it's a new project you're working on, a creative use of technology you've seen, or an idea you've come across that's got you fired up.
You don't need to prepare any materials, just be ready to share an idea with your fellow news nerds. It's a small request that'll keep the discussion rolling and will make sure we cover a lot of different ground.
This is also a great time to get feedback on ideas, connect with like-minded folks, and learn more about what the Lab is up to.
Brown Bags start Thursday, September 26, and run from 12 to 1:30 pm in the Knight Lab conference room.
We're building (and nurturing) a community with these lunches and can't wait for your help in making them great.
