CANCELLED - Conasauga Falls and Indian Boundary Lake - All Day Hike

We will drive to Tellico Plains, with a stop in the Visitors' Center for a rest stop, then continue to travel South on Hwy. 68 to Conasauga Falls. This trail is rated easy and is about .8 miles, down and back.

After the falls, we will discuss whether we want to eat lunch first (pack and bring with you), or continue on to our second destination - Indian Boundary Lake - off the Cherohala Skyway. Indian Boundary Lake trail is rated easy and is about 3.2 miles in length. A smooth, gravel track encircles 96 acre Indian Boundary Lake. Bridges cross streams, and the relatively level trail passes along the shore and through mixed forest, filled with a variety of wildflowers in spring, summer, and fall. There are picnic tables, a swimming beach, a boat launch and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. A $3 use fee station is located at the parking area.

After our hikes, and while still on the Cherohala Skyway, there is a restaurant, Kat's Deli, that has quite good food. We may want a snack after so much walking.

We will meet at Cracker Barrel off Campbell Station Road (East side), at 9am. We will probably need to carpool. The trip to Tellico Plains will take about 1 hour 10 minutes. It would be a nice idea to help out the drivers with some gas money.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
