As the Centre gets more and more popular, the transformation of the structure in the Centre becomes apparent. Here are the MKLCC regular workshops and activities during our 13th season in 2014:

As the MKLCC's trademark, the monthly 언어 교환 웍샵 Linguistic Exchange Workshop (LEW) will continue to provide you with practical Korean expressions under Joël (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/66698412/) and Émilie's (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/90945772/) leadership. And we'll expand it twice a month: one on Weenkend and the other on weeknight! Once again, this is not a course, but rather a social activity practicing Korean during the Meetup with your linguistic partners. The first LEW will be posted shortly, so stay tuned!

Furthermore, our 한국 요리 강습 Korean Culinary Workshop (KCW) participants will continue to experience culinary pleasure in learning how to make sumptuous Korean Food. Since two years, Suna (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/10492657/), in collaboration with chef Mme Lee, Mindelae Food, has made the KCW as another signature Workshop of the Club. And she'll continue the saga this season. Your loyal whole-hearted support will be greatly appreciated. The first KCW will start at the end of February, so keep your eyes open!

We are going international! 세계 요리강습International Culinary Workshop (ICW) will provide an excellent opportunity to get to know more about the world through culinary experience. Very creative and sociable chef, Melissa, 4 Corners of the Table (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/12745670/), will guide you through this palate-pleasing experience. The first ICW will be posted shortly and Melissa has tickets to Middle East for February 10th!! !

강연회 Conferences, guided by Shinae (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/4197300/) and Hana (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/26992242/), will continue to satisfy our intellectual curiosity regarding the Korean culture, history, social and political agenda, arts and sports, and all else to do with Korea. For the Korean Gastronomic Explorers, Clara, Queen of Entertainment (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/6160377/), is leading 친구들과 저녘 식사를...Korean Supper with Friends... and will be leading a small group of members (10-15 explorers each time) into Korean gastronomical excursions by visiting old and new Korean restaurant as well as non-Korean restaurants in town. A part from these regular workshops and regular activities, annual and biannual activities are coming. And our finale of the season, we'll have our very first Coulurs of Korea Festival on Saturday, June 7th! Expect more from us and we'd like to see you more often!!

Here is how our 6th Anniversary and Seol Supper event will unfold:

The event organizer, Joël, will be our master of ceremonies.

As you come in, please register with, Christian, Treasurer (https://www.meetup.com/Korean-Language-Culture/members/10496874/), to pay your Supper Fees (including Event Fees and Membership Fees) and get your name tag and supper chip. You should give your chip at the counter as we get the meal.

The Supper menu

Main course

Tteok mandu guk(떡만두국), rice cake soup with pork or vegetable dumplings served in anchovy broth with egg garnish

Sides

Japchae (잡채), potato noodles stir fried with vegetables accompanied by Dongeurangteng (동그랑땡), flattened ground pork or tofu balls with kimchi (김치)

Beverage

Sujeonggwa (수정과), cinnamon punch

Desert

To top off our celebration, we'll enjoy a delicious ddeok(떡) cake provided by Mindelae Chef Lee, from our Korean Culinary Workshop.

The Supper Fees are set very reasonalbly as follow:

$13.00/adult (13 years and older)

$7.00/child (between 7-12 years old),

children of 6 years old and under eat free

(Taxes, tips and event fee are all included in the price. Please pay in cash at the registration and get your plastic chip in order to exchange it at the food counter. If you're coming for the first time as new member, however, your fee will be $17.00 including membership fees.

Miri, one of our very talendted members will be delighting us with two singing performances!

Our special guest:the big fan of the MKLCC, Mr. Donghwan Choi, Consul General from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Montreal, will join us to celebrate our 6th Anniversary as well as Seol with all of us.

There will also be slideshow accompanied by music that will showcase the clubs accomplishments as well as present to you some interesting facts about the club.

If you have a 한복 (Hanbok - Korean Traditional Costume), please wear it for the evening. Some members will dress up in 한복 (Hanbok) as well!

Please come with your friends and family and don't forget to bring your camera and video for the event. Please post your photos and videos on the website after the event!
