Akka: hAkker garden

Akka jest jedną z najciekawszych bibliotek w ekosystemie Scali. Stanowiąc główny filar Typesafe Platform oraz serce Play! framework-u wpisała się na stałe w grupę najbardziej znanych Scalowych bibliotek.

Cel: Ostatnio developerzy Akki wyznaczyli parę prostych issues przeznaczonych dla społeczności (https://github.com/akka/akka/issues?labels=community-contrib&milestone=&page=1&state=open). Spotkajmy się więc i naprawmy kilka z nich!

Format: Spotkanie będzie organizowane w formie BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop). Dodatkowo należy znać Scalę na poziomie przynajmniej podstawowym i posiadać zainstalowane sbt (http://www.scala-sbt.org/) oraz raz zbudować i przetestować codebase Akki (https://github.com/akka/akka).

Oczywiście nie można hackować bez napitku. Takowy sponsoruje VirtusLab (http://www.virtuslab.com/).

Podczas hackowania będzie można sięgnąć po pomoc via IRC do członka/ów akka teamu - reaktywność gwarantowana :-)

Akka is one of the most interesting libraries in the Scala eco-system. It's at the core of the Typesafe Platform as well as the Play framework.

Goal: Recently the Akka team has marked a number of issues as community contributions (https://github.com/akka/akka/issues?labels=community-contrib&milestone=&page=1&state=open), that is, issues that are easy to get started with and can be taken up by the community. During this hakker garden, let's fix some of them!

Format: The meeting will be conducted as BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop). You should be fairly familiar with Scala and have sbt (http://www.scala-sbt.org/) and akka (source code) (http://github.com/akka/akka) downloaded and ready to roll on your laptop.

Thanks to our generous partner VirtusLab (http://www.virtuslab.com/) snacks and drinks will be provided.

During the meeting we'll have a IRC channel set up with member(s?) of the akka team, so contributing should be even easier. :-)
