Kriyayoga was practiced by Mahatma Gandhi, the widely renowned political and spiritual figure of this century who demonstrated no divisions between personal, spiritual, social, and political life. Swami Shree Yogi Satyam teaches Non-Violence through Kriyayoga Meditation as the complete education essential for every human being. He offers all teachings freely to the public guided by the resolve that both the philosophy and scientific technique taught is able to empower of the masses and unite a world guided by Consciousness of Truth and Non-Violence. The practice requires nothing beyond a person's sincere interest.
From July 11 to 18, 2010, Swami Shree Yogi Satyam returned to Cleveland for the third annual Kriyayoga Meditation Seminar on Truth and Non-Violence. He was joined by special guest, surgeon, and author of Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease, Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., M.D of the Cleveland Clinic on the evening of July 12. The seminar covered a wide range of topics regarding the true concepts of: health, peace, and joy; race; God and religion; economics; education; and family life.
A particular emphasis on diet and quality of life was stressed by Dr. Esselstyn. Dr. Esselstyn is a world renowned surgeon from the Cleveland Clinic whose book Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease calls the number one killer in America (cardiovascular disease) a "paper tiger." His over 20 year study shows that a shift to a pure vegetarian diet based on complete foods and whole grains can put an end to heart disease and cause metabolic shifts in a person to make him or her virtually heart attack proof within 3 to 4 weeks.
Improving quality of life and ending epidemic heart disease while becoming more aware of the foods we eat and where it comes from is just the beginning of the revitalization of the people of Cleveland based on a culture of Truth and Non-Violence. For this reason, Swami Shree Yogi Satyam's continued collaboration with people from our region and his stated commitment to the Cleveland area made the 2010 Kriyayoga Seminar a unique and promising resource to help anyone with the goal of revitalizing our society here in Cleveland and America as a whole.
