Third Meeting

We are pleased to announce the third meeting of Kyiv useR! group.

Two speakers will cover following topics:

1. Yevhen Vasylenko (datastory.org.ua) will tell about R language usage experience for public monitoring of ecological information. The presentation includes number of examples of usage of different packages such as dplyr, tidyr, magrittr, zoo, ggplot2, scales, stationaRy, extrafont, which are helpful for data gathering, data crunching to extract relevant patterns, and nice visualization.
2. Dimitry Nowicki (Institute of Cybernetics) will tell about GW150914 signal processing of LIGO gravitational waves observatory. The presentation covers a short introduction to gravitational waves phenomena and observation methods; data resampling and filtering; extraction of the gravitational waves signal below the noise level.
