Greetings - I'm Flynn and I've been a helper with this group since the potluck days last century. From our telephone tree to the email lists to the listserv I've been keeping the locals in Vancouver, Camas, Battle Ground, Longview, Ridgefield, Skamokawa and points in between communicating, gathering and supporting one another.
Who is Luke?
Yes, Luke is a man and our ally. Economics dictated my partnership with him to keep this tiny group going. We had an available space in the meetup management pack so we bundled this group into our existing set. Luke and I run other meetups together and he will be silent here. Other groups that I've rescued in the past are thriving now. I'm interested in building capacity and leadership. You all have ideas about activities here in Washington and in the suburbs to our south. I will help you get those events published so others can join you.
What's next?
A name change is in the works. Soon we'll come up with something amusing, enticing and no doubt puzzling. Offer suggestions in the discussion or by direct message.
Membership will be pruned. So will activities that have languished. New members will find the group and take it to its next incarnation. If you have folks you want to socialize with encourage them join. Women are welcome and how we get along will guide how the group grows. Yes, there are a number of groups on meetup and other social media in our region. Lots of options are always available. We will cross post some events. We will have our unique offerings posted to other groups. You get to choose how much, where and when you meetup.
Luckily, this is not a democracy.
If we do anything or say anything you don't like please feel free to drop on out.
