I have a small internet cafe in North Hollywood (8 terminals, 2 ipads). I am trying to expand the company into a full-fledged co-working center much like co-loft and blank spaces, but I need to save up for it. We're in a pretty cool part of North Hollywood ("NoHo"), within walking distance of the metro red line. My approach to entrepeneurship is to take roads that are not generally embraced by the mainstream (ie: do ideas that look wrong). Lots of little bets is key with me. Make the losses easy to swallow, but do lots of them. Usually with tinkering and experimenting, you usually discover an idea that could not have been reached through more conventional and direct methods (such as logic). I'm thinking bitcoin is probably an area that has lots of potential, so I'm interested in getting involved in that area.
Diverse people with diverse sets of skills with diverse ways of looking at things. Interaction and sharing of ideas is key with me.
I'm somewhat into lisp.
I'm an entrepeneur that owns a small internet cafe in North Hollywood. My big hobby in life is computer science. My goal in these meetups is to increase the serendipity in my life and to create connections with ideas between me and other programmers.
