Normally so, but most posters on Craig's don't post their email address; you have to go through Craig's deal. I always list my address on listings I post there because of this.
Mary, you might try posting to the category where the yaks are, stating your connection problem...leaving your mail address, or one you use to protect your main address, so the seller(s) can respond to you.

I'm not familiar with Yahoo mail, or Craigslist. But I'd say, try copying the E-mail address and just send an e-mail as you would normally do it rather than clicking on the e-mail link.
It's not your broadband connection, although they do have the att-yahoo thing going on. I actually use att-yahoo as my main email application, but when I send mail through Craig's List, it defaults to Outlook for the send. Once, I tried Windows-Live email program - trying to coordinate my mail. It's weird, I don't understand it. I don't know if you're Windows based or Mac, Linux or whatever, but I would say it is a default setting or a need to use a different email client altogether. Why do you use aol if you have att dsl? If you have dsl, I'd get rid of the aol thing (I've never liked anything to do with aol).
Now Greg is a programmer I think...something geeky like, he he. Maybe he can shed some light.
