Announcing a new Meetup for Louisville Area Canoe & Kayak Group!

What: Floyd's Fork Creek

When: July 18,[masked]:00 AM

William F Miles Park
15712 Shelbyville Rd
Louisville, KY 40245

Join us as we paddle Floyds Fork Creek in eastern Jefferson County, Kentucky.

This is a trip we've run a couple times this year ? and it has been a lot of fun. We will need to keep an eye on the conditions though ? when its running low, you will be dragging bottom all day long ? and at the end of the day you?ll be worn out and irritated.

When it?s too high, it is often running too fast to be safe. We?ll provide updates as this trip gets closer. It?s almost impossible to predict what conditions are going to be like this far ahead of time.

We put in at William F. Miles Park, off Shelbyville Road.
After you turn on Blue Herron Road, just follow it around until you see a sign on the right pointing you towards the Canoe Access. We?ll all gather in the parking lot there to plan out the shuttle.

Our take out will be the Fisherville Canoe Launch. The best way I can describe the location is to just give you the coordinates to plug into Google Maps (or something similar) Here it is:[masked] [masked]

** Also, I just uploaded a map of the route to ?Files? Section **

Some members have extra kayaks to loan out. If you can make the paddle and want to borrow a boat, go ahead and RSVP yes, and state you need to borrow one, and we'll try to find one for you.
