(5-21-2012)

Thank you for signing up for this event. Since the group grew bigger than we originally expected, I need to make a deposit to the tea room and I would like to collect $10 prepayment.

Please bring the rest in cash, which could be $10-12 depending on how much you'd like to pay for tip.

$18.00 per person

  • 1.80 10% discount

$16.20

  • 1.42 plus 8.75% tax

$17.62

  • 3.24 plus 20% tip (16.20x20%)

$20.86 Total

(20% gratuity added to parties of 6 or more.)

Please send it by Paypal by Thursday. If you have a problem with Paypal, please let me know. I need to give the final count so if I don't receive $10 payment or hear from you, I need to change your RSVP to no.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Looking forward to seeing you all,

Sally

This meetup occurs right after the Origami Lecture meetup at Japanese American National Museum on Saturday May 26th from 2-4pm. As I mentioned in the Origami Lecture meetup, Metro riders can save 10% on more than 300 different types of specialty teas served at Chado Tea Room inside the museum. Show your valid Metro pass, Metro rail ticket, or Destination Discounts card.

"Located in the Paul I. and Hisako Terasaki Garden Café, Chado’s tradition of excellent family service in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere will provide patrons and staff alike with a new level of visitor experience that complements the National Museum’s style. Not just a visitor amenity, Chado Tea Room will also be a programmatic partner, offering tea tastings and other educational events, in addition to good food and tea. Come and enjoy this new Chado “East!”

I reserved a table of 6 for Afternoon Tea at 4:30pm. It's $18 per person and includes sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea and we can all get 10% discount by bringing the museum admission receipt or metro pass or ticket.

When you RSVP, please indicate if you're coming to the tea only or also for the lecture. The tea room close at 6pm.

See you there!
